Tawau Division

Tower of Heaven

The observation tower is 30 meters tall on top of Mount Silam's ultramafic coastal forest, at an elevation of 884 meters above sea level, the district's highest point. This provides guests with a beautiful and calm bird's eye view over the Darvel Bay Islands and the town of Lahad Datu.

Plant and animal aficionados will enjoy the tower's views of Mount Silam's forest and birds. A gorgeous, little orange-red crab known as Geosesarmaaurantium Ng lives on Mount Silamis (Grapsidae: Sesarminae).
